Critical minerals

Dual potential on the same ground: copper, nickel, cobalt, and chromite alongside geological hydrogen.

29CuCOPPER28NiNICKEL27CoCOBALT24CrCHROMITE
Overview

Luma’s Atlantic Canada claims were selected for more than geological hydrogen (natural hydrogen). The same ground carries early-stage critical-minerals exploration potential, copper, nickel, cobalt, and chromite. As Luma advances toward a public listing as a mining issuer, supported by an independent technical report prepared under National Instrument 43-101, it is exploring for both geological hydrogen and these critical minerals.

The targets

Nova Scotia copper targets: untested anomalies

Cross-section through one target: gravity anomaly with a proposed, undrilled hole

Two provinces, sixteen early-stage targets

Everything below describes early-stage exploration targets and untested geophysical anomalies. Luma has not drilled them and has defined no mineral resource or reserve.

Nova Scotia · copper
  • 12 large undrilled copper targets.
  • Untested geophysical anomalies along a copper and cobalt belt.
  • Among the first to acquire claims across the belt.
  • Targets identified through historical exploration by Minatour Exploration.1
  • Anomalies commonly 2 km long and up to 1 km thick; size is not a measure of contained metal.

Newfoundland massive-sulphide targets: VTEM anomalies

Historical awaruite locations within Luma claims

Newfoundland and Labrador · copper, nickel, chromite
  • 4 large untested massive geophysical targets.
  • Geophysical anomalies are massive sulphide targets.
  • Two targets contain mineralization at surface.
  • Significant surface mineralization in project.
  • Documented awaruite within the claim.2

First Atlantic Nickel (TSXV: FAN) has reported a large awaruite discovery in Newfoundland, following up on the same historical work that documented awaruite within Luma’s claims.3

1 That is historical, third-party exploration information; it has not been independently verified by Luma and is not indicative of results that may be achieved on Luma’s ground.

2 This is historical information and has not been independently verified by Luma.

3 That discovery is attributed to First Atlantic Nickel’s public disclosure, has not been independently verified by Luma, and is not indicative of results that may be achieved on Luma’s properties.
